AN OPEN LETTER TO DEALERS AND THE BIKE INDUSTRY:
From the beginning, the cycling industry has always unveiled its new product range during the same period of each year. This unrestrained rhythm, imposed on us all by component suppliers around the world has seen its day: Commencal Bicycles is breaking ranks with the introduction of its new PSR range.
It is crazy to redo a complete range year on year, with the previous range becoming instantly obsolete. The consumer ends up with an 'outdated' bike, retailers are forced to discount and the manufacturer's design team is placed under needless pressure to complete a new bike… None of this is good for anyone!
From today, Commencal Bikes will release a product when it is complete, just like you see in the automobile industry. Our distributors and dealers will have more ordering flexibility and will no longer have to worry about ending up with unsellable stock.
